Keep Music Alive is seeking volunteers to help with our Musical Instrument Petting Zoo (no animals involved) on Friday, June 5th from 5:00-8:00PM for the LOT 323 Summer Concert Series in Woodbury, NJ.
TIMED SLOTS AVAILABLE: You do NOT need to volunteer for the full 3 hours but are welcomed to stay for the duration. If you can provide an hour or two, it would be greatly appreciated.
WHAT is a Musical Instrument Petting Zoo??? We’re glad you asked! It is often referred to as the “Please Touch Museum” for musical instruments (no animals involved) where children & adults get to have a fun, interactive experience with over 50 different musical instruments – an opportunity to touch & play every instrument!
NO MUSICAL EXPERIENCE is required. We need help keeping tables of instruments (and their signs) organized. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of music makers. We'll show you how to demonstrate some of the more unique percussion instruments (it, literally, takes on seconds) and you'll be having lots of fun in no time.
STUDENTS: For high school students, we can provide a Volunteer Credit Service Letter. For college bound or current college students, we provide a stipend.
WEATHER: If there is the potential for rain, we will contact you the day of, to let you know if the event has been cancelled or moved to an indoor facility.
THANK YOU for checking out our volunteer opportunity!
