Each month, JRA delivers food and essential items to over 3,400 low-income households struggling with food insecurity. Volunteers can support JRA and its recipients by hand-delivering boxes of food and household items directly to the homes of individuals and families in need. Volunteers can select a delivery route (or routes!) in advance in several different neighborhoods. JRA serves individuals in 90+ zip codes throughout Greater Philadelphia. Delivery routes have as few as 1 stop or as many as 16 stops, with an average of around 7 stops. Learn more about food delivery with JRA by clicking this link to watch a short video.
For food delivery, volunteers will arrive at the JRA warehouse on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM to receive their delivery route with instructions and the items to deliver. Deliveries are made rain or shine.
Advanced registration is required. Click here to register to deliver food with JRA on Sunday, July 16th, Monday, July 17th, and Tuesday, July 18th, 9am-2pm.
