In recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day the Philadelphia Union, City of Chester, Widener University, CAAT Center, Making A Change Group and Delaware County will be hosting MLK Day of Service. The service project will begin at Calvary Baptist Church (1616 W 2nd St, Chester, PA 19013) with a breakfast and information session. Volunteers will then conduct a Peace march to MLK/Memorial Park (620 Engle St Chester, PA 19013) where they will participate in a community clean up. Clean-up groups will be assigned areas of the park and surrounding streets to pick up trash. After, volunteers will partake in community building with the staff at the CAAT Center, located at 2300 W 4th St A211, Chester, PA 19013.
