Volunteer: Help Us Get Food Out To Hungry Senior Citizens!Help us feed hungry seniors by loading boxes of food into delivery vehicles! Share Food Program needs your support to feed our most vulnerable population of senior citizens. Share sends nearly 7,000 boxes of shelf-stable food out to senior citizens every month, and over half of our recipients are mobility-impaired: whether they are disabled, immunocompromised, and/or just don't have access to reliable transportation, many of our senior food box recipients cannot travel out to our pantries and other distribution sites to pick up their monthly food boxes. For this reason, we run a home delivery distribution every Friday, during which volunteers help us to load boxes into delivery drivers' vehicles. We have a particular need for volunteers that are comfortable with the repetitive lifting of a 30-pound box, but for those with lifting restrictions, we also need support with loading lighter blocks of cheese into each delivery vehicle. Volunteer: Senior Food Box Home Car-Packing for Home Delivery DistributionHelp us feed hungry seniors by loading boxes of food into delivery vehicles! Share Food Program needs your support to feed our most vulnerable population of senior citizens. Share sends nearly 7,000 boxes of shelf-stable food out to senior citizens every month, and over half of them are mobility-impaired: whether they are disabled, immunocompromised, and/or just don't have access to reliable transportation, many of our senior food box recipients cannot travel out to our pantries and other distribution sites to pick up their monthly food boxes.
